The library acts as a key resource and learning centre of the University. It plays a vital role in enhancing the academic and research growth. To facilitate the users with reading and research, central library is strategically located on the campus of the university along with separate reading rooms and allied facilities.
Team central library of Gujarat Technological University works to provide centralised access to library resources to its users.
Gujarat Technological University is equipped with a state-of-the-art e-library. The comprehensive collection of digital resources, ranging from scholarly articles and textbooks to multimedia content, the e-library is poised to become a cornerstone of academic supplementation for all the stakeholders of the University.

About Central Library

GTU Central Library is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a range of resources and services to support the academic and research needs of the university community. The library is fully automated, utilizing RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to streamline the circulation and management of library materials. This ensures efficient and accurate tracking of the collection.
The well-furnished reading room can accommodate a large number of students, providing a conducive environment for study and research. The library also maintains a visitors' book for students and staff to sign in and out.
The library's collection includes a diverse range of books, journals, and other resources. New arrivals are regularly displayed, and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is available through the Library Management Software (SOUL 3.0) for easy searching and access. The library subscribes to various digital resources, including K-nimbus, K-hub, and Sage, as well as providing access to a wide range of scholarly open-access journals and databases. Students can access these e-resources from anywhere on campus.
The library also offers plagiarism detection services to assist users in maintaining academic integrity.
With its advanced facilities and comprehensive resources, the GTU Central Library is a valuable asset to the university community, supporting teaching, learning, and research activities.

Access Mechanism for GTU E-Resources


To access GTU e-Resources, users are required to log in to the GTU Knimbus Portal, where users can access GTU e-Resources remotely. Access to GTU e-Resources depends on the user type, which includes Students, Faculty Members, PhD Scholars, PhD Supervisors, and Affiliated College Libraries.

  • Students: ProQuest One Academic, Springer Nature, Knimbus, K-hub, and Sage Journals
  • Faculty Members: ProQuest One Academic, Springer Nature, Knimbus, K-hub, Sage Journals, and Drillbit Plagiarism Software
  • PhD Scholars and PhD Supervisors: ProQuest One Academic, Springer Nature, Knimbus, K-hub, Sage Journals, and Drillbit Plagiarism Software
  • Affiliated College Libraries: ProQuest One Academic, Springer Nature, Knimbus, K-hub, Sage Journals, and iThenticate (Turnitin) Plagiarism Software

Notes:
  • All users need to verify their details and submit them through the proper channels to the GTU Central Library.
  • Access to the plagiarism software is provided based on demand and requires submission through the appropriate channels.
  • Affiliated colleges must fill out a Google form with GTU official Email ID to access the GTU Knimbus Portal.
  • Access to GTU e-Resources is subject to availability and follows the instructions set by the higher authorities of GTU.
  • PhD Scholars and PhD Supervisors need to register into GTU Knimbus via GTU PhD Section.
